( this post is prob bad....but....I wan't myself when typing it... and i still don't know what to call the witch mass building besides the witch mass building....and I couldn't think of what to call the title so >.>)
There she stood on the roof Shibusen, all around her was the ruins of the former Death city Mara smiled at her work, single-handedly Destroyed it all, and only one thing stood in her way, Mara turned and stared at her last opponent, The great Shinigami himself. there would be a Flash, Death 's scythe and Mara's blade hand would Meet, and with a quick show of her power she knocked death's scythe away, she smiled as she looked down at Death " Let it be known forever that the great Dragon Mara has killed Death himself!" she would yell out slash foreword at him, but at the last moment death reach out his hand and stab Mara with something, Mara would stop and look down, seeing it was not a weapon, but corn on the cob. " what....in the world....." she would say as everything seemed to turn to black, then open her eyes, reveling she was still in the witch mass building.
She sighed she had fallen asleep, she would lift herself up only to hit her head on something hard, she would yell crawling out from under it and raising to her feet, she looked back to see what it was she had been sleeping under to see it was a table, she scratched her head, " I wonder why, I was sleeping under there..." She sighed, and started to walk around the building, She yawned, " its so boring here...."

The clicking of heels echoed down the hallway. The sound was loud, not just because of the silence throughout the building, but because the owner of the heels brought them down hard on the stone floor. Evelyn was angry. Very angry. She loved the Witch Masses held at the castle, but she hated to see Mabaa. She loved the old witch with all her heart, but it pained her to see the great witch still missing her eye. It angered her so much. Especially lately. Some had heard whispers of the snake witch being alive yet. "That awful woman just won't die, will she, Nuri?" the bird witch whispered to her familiar gliding through the air above her. The little yellow bird chirped in agreement.
As she continued walking, Evelyn stumbled upon a witch very familiar to her. She was always terrible at matching names to faces, but it was ridiculous that she couldn't remember this witch's name. She'd seen her at Zoida meetings, practically bouncing off the walls, so full of energy. Perhaps the reason she had difficulty remembering the witch's name was because... the witch seemed to have had all her energy sucked dry. Looking at Nuri, Evelyn whispered, "Perhaps she has just woken up?" The bird chirped her confusion back.
Walking closer, Evelyn finally recognized the witch. "You are the dragon, correct? Mara, I believe. You did not attend the Witch Mass tonight. Perhaps you had... other plans for this evening...?" |
[/b] Everyone in Zoida had an agenda. Including herself. As the highest rank of the coven, it was their customary duty to ensure the well-being of the coven, right? At least, that was what Evelyn believed. But, not everyone was interested in the well-being of the coven. Medusa was just such an example. At one time, the bird witch had trusted the other members of Zoida and the coven. But after the snake had allied herself with the werewolf that had stolen Mabaa-sama's eye, Evelyn felt that unless given good reason, she should never trust anyone aside from Mabaa. Mara continued to walk down the halls she was so bored, but there was something bugging her, something she forgot to do. Mara turned her head and stopped, hearing a voice behind her. she watched as the witch got closer and quickly recognized it was one of the other members of the Zoida, known to her as Evelyn Wycliff, tho the only reason she could really tell was that bird was there. She listened to what she had to say, when she heard she had missed a witch mass she almost slapped herself in the face, that's what she had forgotten. "I'm Really sorry about that, I must of slept though it....I got here early and thought I could take a nap before hand....I didn't mean to sleep that long...." she would say yawning at the end, she was still tired.
" So would the great Evelyn Wycliff of the Zoida mind to tell me what I have missed today?" Mara would say with a short bow, mostly to be somewhat humorous, due to being bored out of her mind. She waited for a answer either what she asked for or some sort of sarcastic remark, she didn't really care, as long as it helped her with her current problem of being bored.

"A... nap...?" Evelyn repeated. A member of Zoida had missed out on a Witch Mass because of a nap? The bird witch hardly saw Mara as a threat. It was hard to think remember that she was a member of such an elite group of witches. Weren't dragons supposed to be fierce? Or perhaps she was the offspring of a dragon, like in Japanese myths. A seahorse. Evelyn fought off giggles at the thought of Mara as a seahorse.
Holding her fist up to her mouth as she cleared her throat, Evelyn explained to the still drowsy witch, "I'm sure you've heard rumors already. Unless, of course, you've slept through more than just the Witch Masses." There was an obvious hint of annoyance in her voice as Evelyn spoke. She felt that the Witch Masses were very important and that all witches, and only witches should attend. It had bothered her some years ago when the snake had brought her child with her to the Masses. "The snake might be back. Mabaa-sama is furious. She wants her eye back. I can't blame her. It's so sad to see her in such a state. Especially after all that she has done for me..."
The bird witch shook her head to rid her thoughts. Thinking about how Mabaa had been so kind to her only led to thoughts of her parents. And thinking about her parents... well, best not go there... "You can be sure the snake has unfinished business at Shinigami's academy. Perhaps she'll try to sneak in again... And another rumor going around is that the frog and werewolf that had accompanied the snake all those years ago have a child. I know not what became of that child, but it does make one curious about where they are... I'd say it's safe to say the werewolf still has the eye. Or maybe his child has it now...?"

Mara stood and listened to what Evelyn had to say, however she was just barely listing, as she started to stretch. mostly what Evelyn said Mara had already known, she had heard the rumors of the snake, but dismissed them, however with what Evelyn said it seems that maybe the rumors where the truth. Mara would sigh, "So the snake is not dead yet......I wonder if she will try to cause more trouble for us....this is why you make sure a snake is dead unless you want it to bite you as you walk away" Mara would say almost giggling, then she sighed leaning onto a wall, " well who wouldn't be mad having there eye removed, its even more trouble that this person happens to be a immortal..." she sighed.
" so the immortal wolf and the frog may have had a child huh?" Mara would say seemly looking down at the ground with a blank and sad stare, thinking about her mother and the father that took her away. "so if this child does have the eye, what would you do....take it back, even tho it was the sin of the father?" Mara would say staring at Evelyn, Mara's eyes would have turned yellow, giving away her anger about this matter, she knew that the wolf had to pay but a child that had nothing to do with the matter shouldn't be touched. However if she ordered to do so, she wouldn't disobey.

"I didn't think she would be dead. Hell dislikes her more than we do, perhaps," Evelyn replied, nodding her head in agreement. "I suppose this is the thanks we get for letting Shinigami's students take care of her rather than handling it ourselves. How foolish of us to believe they could manage it..." Evelyn stepped towards a nearby window and gazed out at the night sky. The large grinning moon chuckled at her, blood dripping from the upturned corners of its mouth. For a moment, the witch thought she saw something floating in the air, a dark silhouette against the bright moon. But upon further inspection, she saw there was nothing there. "Perhaps my eyes are getting tired. It has been a long day..." she muttered to herself.
Turning back to Mara, Evelyn ran her fingers through her dark red hair and answered the dragon witch, "I doubt the werewolf has actually given the eye to his child. It was merely a passing thought, pay it no mind. Besides, the retrieval of the eye need not be a violent confrontation. That would depend on the actions of its current holder. Unlike some witches within our coven, I do not cause unnecessisary conflict."
Nuri landed on the bird witch's shoulder. Reaching up to pet the bird's beak, Evelyn mused, "I've been thinking of sending my little pet to catch up on the inner workings of Shinigami's school. It's nice to know what the enemy is up to from time to time, no? Nuri is very capable of undergoing such a mission, isn't that right, my dear?" The bird snuggled up to her owner's cheek.

Mara sighed and calmed herself, she had jumped to her anger way to quickly, but she had her reasons for that. she looked at Evelyn, maybe she wasn't as bad as some of the members she had seen. "well, they did at least keep her from reappearing for such a time, most likely meaning she was badly hurt, but we still should not underestimate the ones that would do us harm, as we wouldn't want to make the same mistake the snake did herself." Mara said yawning, she was still tired, maybe she would go for a run to wake herself.
"I guess a recon mission would be good, we don't want to be caught unprepared now do we.." Mara would say nodding, then looking at the bird. " I don't think any one there would hurt a defenseless bird, well...there is that one I keep hearing about.....one of the teachers..." she would say before thinking about some of the stories she had heard about the man, it drove a shiver down her spine causing her to shake slightly. She did not understand how a man like that would be allowed anywhere, it just more made her think of that place as evil.

Smiling, Evelyn said, "I'm glad you agree with me. Underestimating the school would be a mistake, I suppose. However, currently, it would appear that they would be unable to cause us much, if any, harm. But, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Let's not let our guard down. My dear Nuri is perfectly capable of handling such a mission, as I've already stated."
Her smile turned into a scowl at the mention of Professor Stein. "I would venture to guess that age has not dulled his technique. The man you are referring to... I'm not sure he's even a man at all..." She had heard tales of Franken Stein and how easily he'd succumb to Medusa's madness. No ordinary human could have fallen so quickly in the bird witch's opinion. "He is the main reason I want to send Nuri to spy on Shibusen. He worries me...
"But fear not. Nuri knows what kind of danger she's getting into. Besides, she is not just some tiny, defenseless canary," the witch bragged, stroking Nuri's beak with a slim finger. Suddenly, she stopped, realization washing over her. "You haven't seen my pet in action, have you?" she asked. "You will no longer worry for my pet after you see her transformation. I can just imagine the look on your face when you see it! Did you want to see for yourself?"
